Henry The Hexapus Poem by Stephen Katona

Henry The Hexapus

Rating: 3.5

In a lobster pot was caught,
A cephalopod of an unusual sort,
Causing all kinds of fuss,
That's Henry the Hexapus!

People sent word in emails,
Of this octopus in Wales,
With arms two few,
The likes of which no-body knew.

He became Henry the great,
Back in 2008,
In Anglesey Zoo,
For people to view,
Safe from fisherman's stew.

He was a six pointed star,
For being so bizarre,
Missing limbs not torn,
With only six when born.

He may not have had many wives,
But brought wonder to young lives,
Rolling the most from one dice,
With a cricketer's paradise.
