""HER EYES COULD SEE
ONLY A PIECE OF THE SKY""
All those years of anguish,
the constant pressure to rise,
the contempt which seemed mawkish
- she saw clearly in their eyes.
Her own vision was blurred
with misgivings and confusions,
with a tinge of arrogance hurled into it.
All she had was delusions.
The clock went a tic, then a toc!
At that startling moment,
her thoughts and mind ran amok
like a caged elephant.
She realized that
time was ebbing away.
she felt it slipping through her fingers.
The mask of haughtiness that she clad
had to be ripped apart.
She realized that
Peering at the world
through those fake eyelashes,
her eyes could see
only a piece of the sky.
She realized that
with a gush of emotions
that it was now or never!
She had to break through
those dark clouds of self doubt.
She realized that
She had to appear as she is
and she has to be, as she appears-
to see those unseen pieces of the sky
and to dwell into that pure bliss....
