Her Stone (Itsh' El' Muncu) Poem by LLM Mbatha

Her Stone (Itsh' El' Muncu)

Rating: 5.0

For any flu or cold
As any child might catch sometime
My grandmother had a stone
She pulled out of somewhere
Somewhere OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN
It was as white as amasi
And as bitter as lemon juice
She’d break a corner, mix with water
One table spoon, for chesty coughs
One rinse, for itching gums
One stone, to keep the doctor away
And here my doctor says
He knows nothing of such a stone! ?

I love poems that can tell a tale as this one does. Reminds me of a situation in my younger days. Good write.....Steve
