Rabbitbrush (flower) : Treat coughs, cold, tuberculosis. (leaf) : smallpox skin wash
Bay (leaf) : Put in soups for a digestive aid and to stimulate the appetite.
Skullcap (stem, leaf & flower) : For nerves & hyperactivity.
Aloa Vera (leaf) : For healing burns & radiation burns and as a laxative.
Roses (leaf) : Tea for tonic & astringent. (Hips/fruit) : Cough, sore throat & nerves.
Eucalyptus (leaf & oil) : Use for cough, asthma & chest rubs.
Horseradish (root) : Antibiotic. Stimulate digestion & circulation. Eliminates mucus.
Endive (leaf) : A poultice soothes inflammation. (root) : Mild laxative & diuretic.
Astragalus (root) : Antiviral, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, immune stimulator.
Licorice (root) : Bronchitis, asthma, stress, eczema, ulcers, hepatitis, heartburn, etc
Eyebright (stem, leaf & flower) : Treats allergies, colds & pinkeye.
Reishi mushroom (whole mushroom) : Allergies, bronchitis, immune tonic.
Sage (leaf) : For digestion, asthma, colds, antiseptic, antifungal, diarrhea.
Note: Do not take large doses of any herb or take for a long time. Take as directed by health professional. There are many good books on herbs available. This was a small sample. See my poem "Herbology is Hip" for more examples.
Healers they are, indeed. We would all be better off eating more plants and less meat. Whatever I eat, I always eat too much. That's another health problem.
The problem is that plants you get from stores are sprayed with pesticides (even organic ones) .
