Here We Go Again Poem by Fred Babbin

Here We Go Again

Rating: 5.0

Waves of shame and anger
Wash the shoreline of my brain
Whilst my mind looks on so helpless
at the humiliation
that makes up the wide black ocean
of that ebony emotion
where I drown whilst saturated
in my numbing potion that I deign
to drink.

The Tsunami of my past
rushes up to greet me
And I am powerless to conquer
The depressing thoughts that meet me
In the darkness of my skull,
to make a Civil War inside my brain.
That I can't win.
And though I am a loser
'til the game of life is over.
When it's over, I will be at peace
with no more pain.

That's your idea of a poem, eh? Deep as the sea it is!
