Herein Lies Hope We Shed Past Skins Grow Into New Bodies Poem by Terence George Craddock

Herein Lies Hope We Shed Past Skins Grow Into New Bodies

heart is estranged
heart is alienated
heart is vacuum void

heart is a stranger to love
heart perceives a danger in love
heart flees feelings in love

heart protects recognizes not past love
heart amnesia recognizes not us in past love
heart fears devastation us in past love

overwhelmed heart fled love turned devastation
heart chrysalis dissolved in liquid metamorphosis
heart fragile wet birth born in new reincarnation

deceased old expired personality tied
inextricably into former couple life
lost in sudden expulsion alone isolation

new fresh life labyrinths possibilities
like diamonds sparkling in darkness
invite exploration at uncertain pace

entice whisper hope changes
shroud grey wax death colours
fading past death colours

draining away in each forward step

beauty eternal in a moment
fleeting captured immortalised
in the master artist's hand

is painfully denied
to flesh mind
our fleet lives

herein lies hope
we shed past skins
grow into new bodies

of expanding temporal renewal realities
