Heroine Poem by Ivana RadanJamnicki

Heroine

I once knew the way
What to do
Felt the pull towards
And felt the time was right
Packed and left
Into surmounting the loneliness
And incompleteness

I had found a sufficient amount of wisdom
Even in my own I-don’t-knows
And had seen enough suitability
In my doubts
As it may be the only brave thing
I have ever done
I think of that girl as of my personal heroine

What were her tools?
How did she do it?
How did she know?
Where did she gain the power?
Why did she leave?
And, most of all,
Will she ever return?
