Hey Friend - Poem by Louise McVicar

Hey friend, could you sit a while
There's something on my mind I must get off my shoulders
Hey friend, could you sit a while
If you don't like what I have to say I'll gladly walk away

I know I don't know you that well and this hardly is the time
But if you answer these few questions I'll answer yours in kind.

Is she pretty? Does she make you smile?
Could she make you go that extra mile?
Is she sugar? Is she sweet as pie?
Is she like a diamond in your eye?
Can she make your knees go weak?
Does she make it hard for you to speak?
Is she everything you are to me?
What can I do to make you see -
- I want you to love me?
