Light Over Darkness Poem by Adeline A Roberts

My whole life has been with darkness
It would have overtaken me
if not for the little light inside me
This light resists the darkness
Sometimes it is weak but
It fights stronger every time to resist this darkness
When my light is low the darkness seems like its overtaken me
yet alas my light rises up and resists
It resists and resists
If only my light would grow larger
It would eradicate this darkness
sometimes it feels weak within me
But I know it is still shining within me
