Hidden Secret

Streaky sunlight, shrouded in fog,
afraid like some gaunt and underfed dog,
creeps into my life, enlightens my mind,
breaks through barriers, helps me to find
the truth of the moment, shielded in fear,
like some great secret, hidden yet near,
that will not unfold, until story is told,
and courage is seized, with heart that is bold.
