High In Hope Poem by Mehta Hasmukh Amathaal

High In Hope

Rating: 5.0

I hoped to subdue her
As I always watched and viewed
Her beauty with keen interest
It was not at all for lust

She stood high in my hope
As I was on slippery slope
Young age was forcing me
To take decision and feel free

Yes, that was natural change
In attitude, with arrogance in age
I was little different from others
Nicely behaved, obedient and sober

I felt through third sense
Even though I was not at all tense
I did believe in self respect
Now it all depended in her good will and act

She was equally enthusiastic
She was blindly guided by panic
I sensed some hitch but took strong approach
She responded positively as such

It was normal ending with no sensation
I could term it as strong bond with firm relation
What would have happened if we had not thought seriously?
The answer was with us as we later on spent life easily
