Hillbillill And The Rebill Poem by Ima Ryma

Hillbillill And The Rebill

'Bill I'm for changing a cash bill.'
'A twenty dollar bill should show'
'Harriet Tubman's face which will'
'Buy some votes cheap - doncha know! '
'A black woman long dead and gone, '
'And my support of her now should'
'Double down pandering upon'
'Two voting blocs that serve me good.'
'On her face, I should score some ground, '
'And milk this for all I can get.'
'To Wikipedia I'm bound.'
'Who in the hell was Harriet? '

'I should be on a bill instead, '
'But I'm told I have to be dead.'
