Hippocracy Poem by Matt Starking

Hippocracy

Oh, the cruelty of Hippocracy,
The double standard of society,
Where people preach one thing,
But practice something opposing.

Fairness, equality, justice for all,
But discrimination still stands tall,
Injustice, prejudice, intolerance,
Such displays of hatred and arrogance.

Promoting kindness, caring, empathy,
But selfishness still rules supremacy,
Ignorance, indifference, apathy,
These traits of Hippocracy are a tragedy.

So let us be true to what we proclaim,
Let us not let Hippocracy's shame,
Undermine the virtues we hold dear,
Let us live with integrity year after year.
