His Demon Poem by Hazel Mc Taggart

His Demon

Rating: 4.0

He is in the middle of nowhere,
Trapped with a demon.
He cannot breathe,
He cannot move in his own flesh.
He is stuck under the thumb,
Of this conniving demon.
He tries to break free,
But the demon plays on his conscience.
Tricks his mind,
Into making him go back.
He feels low,
As he is criticized left, right and center.
His demon is trying to fool me,
With words to make him seem like a bad person.
There is never a day,
Where he does right,
Where the demon is concerned.
Why can’t the demon go away,
Why can’t it leave him be.
See that he is a man,
And not a boy.
That he needs his own life,
But he can’t live it.
The demon is so self-centred,
Doesn’t care what he thinks,
Only what it thinks.
Why can’t it go away! !
And stop hurting my baby! !

A dilema that is hard to solve.... all that can be done is show the demon that you are not deceived and that you know that there is a good person there that should be free... that you believe in them.... Alison
