Holding My Breath Poem by Haleemah Mcmillan

Holding My Breath

Rating: 5.0

I scream for no rejection
You stare out the conner of your eyes
You make a move, already i assume your 'the guy'
But then i realize your the guy, I've dreamed of
Emotions are flowing, no sadness, not close to heart-broken
Trusting you was not the worst thing
I've been holding my breath
For someone who's been waiting all along
There is not a time wher I’d sit here and cry
I'm going to make it my priority, to take good care of you
Like you did me..

Because I know your mine
wait for you to call, but I don’t have to
As soon as 9 hits im your everything and all
The spot was made for you, and you never abandoned it
I held my breath for a good one this time
Tonight I'll have a warm body to rest my head on
But you see now I know who's right for me, He’s actually you
Holding my breath for a guy, who's been here all along
I never have to move on
