Holed Up Poem by Mohammad Younus

Holed Up

Holed up
in my own light,
I find peace.

Riding fantasies, you never
reach the divine kingdom.

Voiceless thoughts,
if not expressed in words,
don't land on pages of
poetry or philosophy.

Ships sink
into a black hole
if they aren't guided
by a perfect navigation map.

The holy place
ignites with sound and light.
The pilgrim, walking
through these paths, is elated—
he has reached the sacred shrine.
