Honesty (I) Poem by Marcquiese Burrell

Honesty (I)

Honesty is what people seem to expect
until they get hurt and can't accept
Words that doesn't comfort their character
Honesty is not suppose to bruise or stroke egos

if you're not happy, then, stay unhappy
the truth does hurt, when it's applied
If you can't respect that, what a pity
Go ahead and nurse your wounded pride

If you want sympathetic, here's a hallmark card
You are so pathetic, my words left you scared...
