Honey Eyed Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Honey Eyed

Rating: 5.0

Honey eyed

Head to tail and over
-all black, spotless
-underneath the feet laid
-next to them hands gathered
-motionless, calm, silent…
-dog was there.

Blind's dog
-or master of patience.

The man talked
-talked and talked
-with one who told barber:
- "I've brought client! "

I had lunch
-being old customer
-had mix of Chinese dish.

Zoomed in-out
-fixed lens of camera
-changed frames, recorded
-many shots of cowboy, closeups.

Focused on the dog's eyes;
-those only moving parts,
-which were hard
-to be seen, recognised
-as honey in the jar
-in the dark.

The blind wore shorts, shirt
-good-looking and well-shaved.

No one would notice him
-if had not
-searched for the white handle
-attached to back of dog
-and rejecting to read
-the writing on cellphone:
- "I can't see! "

Nature is your escape my friend, you see and understand the injustices in life, I see you as a man of peace my friend, I have read your poems so many times and I see everytime questions that demand answers, I admire your work and your poetry is alone in its uniqueness and beauty!

I am wordless...except for being proud that we walk in the same direction. Thanks for letting me follow you.
