Honeysuckle Poem by JoAnn McGrath

Honeysuckle

Rating: 5.0

Honeysuckle

The honeysuckle awaits ripe upon the vine
Tempting you to dine

Just one pluck or her pretentious flower
Invites you to devour

Pull back the trumpets petal
and let the sweetness settle

Linger there a little longer
and savor the scent that's stronger

The honeysuckle awaits ripe upon the vine
Tempting you to dine
