Honour, Integrity, Absolute Truth And Love Poem by Gert Strydom

Honour, Integrity, Absolute Truth And Love

1
Honour and integrity do require
being true to principles and reality,
even if in life we face abnormality,
when two edged justice burn as fire

and this can both decimate and inspire,
do not betray any kind of confidentiality,
do not turn facts to how we want it to be,
where we do still to the greatest good aspire.

People can be hostile if the need of truth is apparent:
when a person holds others to the very same
as his or her own standards and degree
to be upstanding, honest, loyal and transparent,
where judgement to those near at heart do blame
if a person holds this valid to all humanity.

2
Loyalty to the clan, nation and kin;
to those very near, dear and close at heart
still stay true to conviction, is not from it apart,
truth has honesty, justice and transparency therein,

even if by it somehow we do loose or win,
it balances two degrees, do sincerity impart,
even if we want to see good of others a part
it stands out if they do not comply and sin:

when people do not to what they say go along
like a two edged sword in black and white
to absolute truth this becomes extremely clear.
If to be at one's back even if they are wrong
in the inner circle this brings darkness not light,
true loyalty and love speak out without any fear.

3
I can only love you if: is conditional love,
is full of duplicity, where to stay true to the heart of hearts,
to sincerity and honesty fits like a glove,
anything asking to sacrifice beliefs is apart

from true love, integrity sometimes goes against loyalty;
conviction do not morals compromise.
Pointing wrong out do not make a person an enemy:
integrity and principals do love epitomize.

If people are not true to similar values
there is no wrong in either party but in the relationship,
the connection, in perceptions that a person undervalues,
where it might come to if to have this interrelationship.

If people screw-up love goes beyond,
do not anyone from responsibility abscond.

4
I do love you but do not agree with it
point to that I still serve your higher good,
do not feelings, sincerity and truth forbid,
love has feelings but is principles rather than a mood,

while out of the box we do create a own way,
where a less travelled path might be fulfilling,
where in relationships we do learn every day,
the great and good in all are instilling,

where by free will we do love reciprocate
do choose how words and actions is to be
if we will love God and a soul-mate,
even in how we are to serve our country.

Absolute love is regardless if you do love me back,
even if similar or opposites do each other attract.
