Hope Poem by Manager Poet

Hope

Rating: 5.0

I just left work and saw a bride with family and friends walking my way.
Her family and friends surround her adding color to the human bouquet.
Adorned in all white, I could see the hope radiating from her lovely face.
Hours from now, instead of two souls and bodies, one shall take its place.

You see, happiness and a blessed future is all on earth we seek.
It still is true, that the earth shall someday be inherited by the meek.
I don’t mean meek as weak but power and strength through self-control.
We all cross several bridges in life and must confront and defeat its troll.

In marriage an opportunity presents itself for continual growth.
This is only true when willingness to serve replaces our loath.
Beginnings are always the ending of something in the past.
True love, I believe, is a blessing from God and it is built to last.

I’ve given you a glimpse inside the workings of my mind and heart.
If you are on your way to a lifelong commitment, this I must impart.
Love is kind, unselfish, forgiving, patient, tender, and so much more.
As you take your journey together, take advantage of all possibilities I implore.
