Hope *

Faraway places, beautiful and frightening to see
Big wish to see them things and relish the view
Big desire to see them things and relish the touch
Big hope to explore the far flung places,
Beautiful and frightening to experience

Faraway people, beautiful and frightening to see, admired and disliked
Big wish to see famous musicians performing
Under the famous Motown umbrella,
Fashionistas strutting their stuff by the marvellous side of Greece, the Cannes
Fashion designers daring each other
Under the perennial haunt of the Milan umbrella
Exotic cars I have seen, unreal
And never stopped the pull of straws
In quest to satiate the hapless wish
I mean them façade or real inanimate things, objects and people,
Their shenanigans and wares
Big desire to see and touch or ride in the crave of the Atlantic waves
Big hope to partake in the act, peruses, dig and dung the wares

I’m afraid the stars and the moon are far away up the sky
My touch is short of reach and maybe of life if not luck
The beacon remains brilliantly bright in my heart and mind
Thus I can see far places stretching from whence I stand
One day is one day; one day may come or never come
Perhaps in the short and long stretch of life

My life is travelling fast to the far flung places, reaching people and things
But amiss to the beautiful and frightening things I dream to see and touch
My heart and mind could only relish the spectre of the colourful brain waves
My hope to experience and brag is dissipating fast
In tandem with the flight of the span of my life
Death frightens the core of me because deep down me I can see the paradise
And the gory things which I may not see real

I’m afraid the stars and the moon are far away up the sky
My touch is short of reach and maybe, of life if not luck
