Hope's Wings
Love
Which eludes me
Teases me with your name
My spirit
Sways in the breath
Of unbridled passion
As it escapes my lips
Bringing you closer to me
Fear
Which precludes love
Lures me
Into it's illusion
My spirit
Sways in it's breath
As it laughs in my face
Mocking what courage I have left
Hope
Which grapples fear
Flies to my aid
My spirit
Sways in the gust
Of hope's wings
Reminding me of my grace
