Horizon To Horizon Poem by Praveen Kumar In Shobha Priya

Horizon To Horizon

In the infinite spread from horizon to horizon,
In infinite realms of both visible and invisible,
Where can I probe you to confirm your truth?

You are so huge; your wings, awfully large,
You are microcosmic, beneath light and night,
How I ever probe to confirm your presence?

An eternal challenge you are, to probe and trace,
Beyond human reach though present everywhere;
You are cause of all, yet unanswered huge riddle.

I am your play; you play me at your pleasure,
I bubble at your will, but know not what I play;
Why this occult wall stands between us two?

Often I realize that I know exactly what you are,
Very next moment, realize, I know not about you;
Why you play hide and seek with your creation?

You are my source, elements, and all my worlds,
You are from where I sprang and merge off and on;
I am a banyan tree that never saw its deeper roots.

I figure and fancy what, why and where you are,
And you fit in to all frames I ever care to fantasize;
Are you all of those, or none of them you truly are?

I know you not really, but tend to worship within
In hope that prayers somehow reach across to you,
And fondly hope to build bridges to pristine roots.

Endless pleas and prayers; not one you ever replied,
Why you are invisible and dumb to your creations?
Yet I find love and care you shower me always with.

You exist or not, I know not what an existence is;
I just know, I can't be there without a deeper cause;
That is why I always trust, you must be somewhere.
