Hours Of The Day Poem by R B Seals

Hours Of The Day

Rating: 2.5

Veiled in black, night
Operating out of sight
Lends within its power
Stillness to each hour;
An aid to help with sleep
—No need for sheep—
As mind journeys, taking
Part in cryptic dreams
In lifelike skits 'n schemes
As you lie supine to rest,
Refresh, and revive anew.

As night courses west,
Hours serve witness to
God's glory keeping you
Safe and free from fear;
And as dawn grows near
And night yields to day,
They will bless you in
Their own "timely" way
As trials—encountered—
Cross your path today.
