House Of Marv Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

House Of Marv

House of Marv

Passed by the Marvin's house
-thought of him, thought of us
-thought of Jews, Jewishness
-thought of him, his friends
-and his son, his daughter…

This is what our time is:
- "Selfishness, mindlessness! "
- "Friendship is worthless."
- "Relatives are shameless."
- "Each is sort of wonder! "

He was a good friend
-working hard night and day
-his wife is an angel,
-his son is car seller!
-not much of a success…

His daughter left father
-and followed her husband!

Marv had been like a hen
-with brood in feathers.

He gave the guy place
-and right of signature…

"Son-in-law is like son! "
-He told me when we talked.

Daughter's man, unlike Marv
-behaved as do the cons!
-took money from cash
-and hid it from dad!

He hurt the company…

Marv died and went alone
-no friend visited synagogue
-neither did the daughter
-nor her sons that she barred.
