How? Poem by diana rose tolentino

How?

Rating: 5.0

How can someone knew what is in a person's heart,
If you are only looking with your own dim sight?
How can you differ the wrong from right,
Without understanding with all your might?

How can you shed a tear or two,
When you don't even let your whole self go?
How can you be righteous and wise,
If you keep deceiving yourself with lies?

How can a person reach the place he desires,
Without making a single step to cross the miles?
How would he know if he'll sink or swim,
Into the waters of each others whims?

Now is the time to stop asking how,
What is left for us to do is try.
Your fate is still on the palm of your hands.
Take the risks of life and see what you'll find.

This poem was written for a friend of mine. It was her birthday present. I sent it to her and said it was 'charmed'.I always like to think my poems are charmed when it was written for a particular person. To Ms. Rona.
