How Can I Reach My Star? Poem by Charnen Postrano

How Can I Reach My Star?

This day, I have fallen, I have fallen not from heaven but the clouds.
I can't get up, even if I am fine and not wounded by the sudden crash.
How I wish I could reach my star and return to its loving arms.
Every day and night, I miss you but what can I do?

You are not far, as well do I,
You are yet to be reached, as well do I, but every time I pass by our lines detached.
How I wish the waves will soon crash, as well as the moon and the sun collide.
How I wish soon, I could smile and touch my heart with happiness flocking like a dragonfly.

When will I touch the field of dandelions again and wish for my star to be reached;
Wishing one day that you'd be at peace with me.
How can I reach my star when I can't even touch it because it burns?
Not may be in heat but sadness and longing, bursting into emotions that I can't even identify.

I had many stars, but this is the only one I wished to reach.
How is that even possible when yesterday I was content with watching the shooting stars pass?
Now, I don't want the shooting star passing, but landing on me.
How can I reach my star when in the first place, it's not mine?
