How can vultures eat putrid dead creatures for a living? ,
Yet not fall sick from the pathogens that the carcass is giving,
Maybe a strong immune system or is there something more?
How can they eat like that yet still fly up high and soar?

Well one of the answers is the acidity of their gastric juice,
Which ranges from 0-1, more corrosive than what we can produce,
Often more corrosive than battery acid, it keeps pathogens away,
It enables vultures to have a diet of rotten flesh everyday,

Salmonella, Botulinum toxin, hog cholera, and anthrax bacteria,
Would possibly kill humans if we got those from a cafeteria,
But to the vulture none of these are problems are a worry,
They can easily eat decaying flesh or even rotten mutton curry,
