How Could You Know How You Came Here Poem by DEEPAK KUMAR PATTANAYAK

How Could You Know How You Came Here

Rating: 5.0

Your birth was the blessing of trillion stars
And how could you know how you came here so
Dreams of how many nights sublimed
Loves of how many births glorified
And prayers of how many years implemented
Neither this world nor you would ever know save God
And us, companioned for a thing divine as of a little flower
That with endurance might one day adorn and sweeten our garden fair
Time stole by with the sun unmoved
And the moon, faithful moon stood
By us while stars were watchful
Blessing every dream of thousand nights as blissful
With loves of countless lives and prayers of million days
Were all that made you possible through unto this world of paradise
But the flame that took years to ignite
How could it be put out in a minute?
Not wild was the wind nor rain surging
That they could blow away the sun so illuminating
Oh is it in the sky of your mind
Where risen a stormy wind
That lashed the coast of eye-shore with rainstorms
Thus putting out forever the last flame of hope with us
Oh, stars above, how could they stand and hold themselves
Upon seeing they would fall like snowflakes, like flowers
Shrivelled yet kindled like morning star
To cover your once-beaming face warm and fair
