How do I hold on to a heart that’s not all mine,
While I sit at home moving slower then time,
Knowing that her heart is not where is should be,
It’s divided when it should be with me,
How do I look into eyes, and my heart melt,
Knowing she only sees him, and the same love is not felt,
Holding her in my arms unsure if she feels me or him,
How does she love him when he touches her like he’s a pimp,
How is it I feel her against me when she’s not there,
And without thinking I say her name out of nowhere,
How do I breathe without lungs or bleed without a heart,
How do I hold it together when it keeps falling apart,
How do I kiss lips that lone for another,
How do I show her I will love her like no other,
If she doesn’t give me the chance, or opens the door,
How do I walk with my head up when my eyes are to the floor,
How do I hold on to a heart that’s not all mine,
I can’t, I’ll lose it in due time.
