Plain and simple, sweet and pure
Out of all the things in life love has no cure,
It sneaks up on you and sometimes it’s a surprise,
It’s like the sun’s right in you face blinding your eyes,
But now I think it’s time to say,
Love has swept you though another day,
I find it strange and kind of soft hearted,
No questions form in your head not even how it started,
The disease infects you and damage you for life,
Like a bullet that drills you brain or your soul stabbed by a knife,
Through it all many people search for it, why, I don’t know,
Like there’s something in their heads yelling for them to go,
Just to think I once was one of them, how dumb could I have been,
So take a second and breath and count backwards form ten,
It’s not plain and simple, it could be sweet and pure,
But out of all the things in life love has no cure.
You are SO right! Love has no cure....I love your poems! Keep writing! ! !
You nailed your point like a pro. I love this poem; I think it's poignant and is rapt with emotion.
'The disease infects you and damage you for life, Like a bullet that drills you brain or your soul stabbed by a knife' I like that line.
