How Else To Hide Our Own Shortcomings? Poem by Margaret Alice

How Else To Hide Our Own Shortcomings?

Rating: 4.8

Recommendations made and implemented,
regulations and legislation on current status;
translators are not fully trained in the national
languages; they are not knowledgeable within
various fields of expertise; they are not fully
conversant in English; they do not understand
the source text, nor do they have full command
of their maternal language; not having been
trained by experts themselves – there are NO
experts, that’s why! – and they bumble on;
stumbling and falling; why not shoot the
messenger – why not use them as the
scapegoat; how else to hide our own
shortcomings?

Margaret, I agree wholly with Ivan. This is brutally honest and very refreshing. I think poems like this should be sent to governments around the world. Maybe then they would then see the folly of their ways. Maybe. Love & hugs, Barbara
