How Lonely I Have Become Again Poem by Shalom Freedman

How Lonely I Have Become Again

How lonely I have become again
I need a love
I will never have again

I can long now
To the end of my days

Whatever small pleasure
Longing gives
Will be small
In comparison to
Its pain and sorrow.
