How Much Pleasure You Had Found With Some Other's Wife?
O' the wretched fellow with immoral behaviour!
If some one finds your mischief, your family pride is lost;
If you are caught in the hands of others, your legs will be broken;
While you perform an activity that is not prowess, there is fear;
It leads to the long standing agony of being in hell;
You tell me! How much pleasure you had found
While you have enjoyed the desire with some other's wife?
This poem 'How much pleasure you had found with some other's wife? ' is a translation by me of a poem from Tamil literature 'Naaladiyaar'
நேரிசை வெண்பா
காணின் குடிப்பழியாம்; கையுறின் கால்குறையும்;
ஆணின்மை செய்யுங்கால் அச்சமாம்; - நீணிரயத்
துன்பம் பயக்குமால்; துச்சாரி; நீகண்ட
இன்பம் எனக்(கு) எனைத்தால் கூறு.84
