thus Great Grandma yearned, but we wished,
" Long live the Lord and bard of this town
teeming with river-line Portia buds and trout! ".

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This small five-lined poem was written by an ancient Tamil poet, Orambogiyar. It is found in 'Ainkurunuru', one of the eight Anthologies of Poetry. This Sangham piece of poetry had been written in the form of 'Asiriyappa', a kind of Blank verse in English.The language is conversational.
