How To Handle Poem by Aniruddha Pathak

How To Handle

If noble, by bowing at the feet,
Tackle brave by dividing to beat,
With base, vile and willing,
By tempting with something,
Near and dear, deal by means nigh discrete.

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This verse suggests ways of dealing with different people: A noble man, give him respect; a man more powerful, divide his power base to beat him; a lowly man, tempt him by offering something. But deal with your near and dear by means discreet.
