Howlers Poem by David Harris

Howlers

We all do things that bring
laughter from those around us.
The mistakes we make
for others are so funny,
but we feel embarrassed for them.
Putting our foot in our mouth
at the most inappropriate time
that makes people howl with laughter,
and the laughter seems to generate
every time the story is told.
Howlers is generated laughter
from situation we'd like to forget.
In time we will look back
and chuckle about it ourselves.
Howling with laughter
at our own mistakes.
