I've been carrying this weight around for far too long
I think I deserve a break
Take sometime to rest
At least catch my breath
And figure out what next
Lately I've been thinking too hard my head hurts
Wondering if my future will be worth all I'm giving
All I've left behind
All I've been meaning to do but haven't
All I've seen and not touched
All I've touched but not felt
And then it all comes down to a single mistake
One misquote, misstep, understand me
That's life, a bubble
Exposed for who you really are
When it all blows up in your face
When all the lies you told break you apart
Piece by piece by piece
Until all that is left is that little shred of dignity
That small part of you that digs your grave
From the soil back to the ground
We all live denying ourselves
What for?
Why can't we be animals?
Just for the day, just for tonight
Why can't we fly and touch the sun?
Just for the day, just right now
Why can't we all just dance and forget our fears
Just for tonight, only tonight
And when we all come to...
When we all realize what we've done
We are one, we are the people
We are united, bound only by pure love
It doesn't matter how heavy your baggage is
I'll lift it for you because you would do the same
The same for me, just for the day
Back in the real time, it just doesn't matter
How hard we try, it just will never be enough
Because we are only human, just human
We bend, we break, we give in
So this weight, It'll stay on my shoulders
For all eternity, because I'm only human
I bend, I break, I don't deserve rest
It's not like I'm any special
I will carry my cross to the end
