Human mind, an invisible prism,
Embedded deep in individual gene;
Gives its own kaleidoscopic spectrum,
Interprets to itself what does it mean.
Not simple glass, transparent to look on,
Nor opaque that blots all mirror vision;
Refracts human mind those it pounces on,
Not a reflection of where its sight falls on.
Mind is treasure house of created world,
Refracted from its thick specific self;
Receives outer world, creates own world,
It's pseudo Brahman embedded in self.
Senses feed it; specific self, it breeds
To interpret worlds in diverse brands;
Morose old worlds find billion wings
While deflects mind to creative swings.
Clear white light, as colours in mind,
Like a simple seed in banyan growth,
Like breathe through the elemental wind,
Blesses life, though deflects the truth.
Mind is beauty; mind, love and romance;
Mind, discord; mind, fount of ill deeds;
Mind, rectitude; restraint, temperance;
It constructs, deconstructs human worlds.
Minds, ensemble, harmony and peace;
Minds in war, all will be in piece;
No mind, no world, then all is unreal,
Mind builds worlds, where all is real.
Is mind sparks, or complex chemicals?
Is mind a filter to cosmic consciousness?
Knows not any how his own mind works,
Why it works, where him it really takes.
That is the wonder of the cosmic truth,
That is the secret of the celestial breadth;
All works here, knows not his own worth,
Knowing not where, all progresses forth.
