Ego had never met Humility
until one fated day.
Both were crossing the road
from two opposite sides.
In the morning rush hour traffic
when green light turned red
they saw each other
as they crossed the road.
It was love at first sight
for both of them,
Ego and Humility.
One week later, the twin, Pride,
noticed a change in Ego.
Pride, already madly in love with Dignity,
finally understood what had happened.
The down-to-earth Humility
radiated a calm aura,
both sweet and gentle.
Ego's ruffled feathers smoothened
since Humility walked in.
Ego finally head-over-heels in love
appreciates Humility's existence.

A beautiful poem indeed. Nicely crafted.
