Husband And Wife Should Live Like Gem And Its Glow!
If the man and his wife live with understanding
Like gem and its glow, they are considered rich
Even if they suffer from poverty and ill health!
If they do not live together, like a mongoose and deadly
snake without lessened enmity, usefulness of their wealth
is in par with beautifying the corpse with jewels.

மணியுமொளி யும்போலாண் மகனுமனை
வியும்பொருந்தி வாழு வாரேல்
பிணியுறுமா துலரெனினும் பெருஞ்செல்வர்
நகுலமும்வெம் பெரும்பாம் பும்போல்
தணியாத பகையுற்று நள்ளாரேல்
உயிரற்ற சவத்தின் மீது
பணிகண்மிகப் பூட்டியலங் கரித்தலொக்கு
மவர்செல்வப் பயன்தா னம்மா.2
