I Am A Common Man Poem by Ehsan Ehsan

I Am A Common Man

I AM A COMMON MAN

Syria is burning in fire
The human beings are blown in air
Kashmiris are being deprived of their basic rights
Their bodies are the major targets of pallet guns
India is the largest purchaser of armaments
Pakistan is the victim of terrorism
But she has been given the title of
The facilitator of the terrorists
Russia claims to have the unconquerable missiles
America worries to maintain the title of the super power
The poor immigrants fear their expulsion
Korea is claiming to be the father of the killers
China is expanding her trade
But I am trying to become more patient
I am drinking the polluted water
I am making myself accustomed to hunger
I am becoming more familiar
Of keeping my belly empty
Starvation has become my second nature
Medicine is denied to me for shortage funds
Education is now a prohibited tree for my children
Health is now a forgotten story
UNO and the Security Council is suffering
From lethargy of postponement
I am now waiting for the great day to come!
