I Am A Starved Soul. Poem by Dr. Antony Theodore

I Am A Starved Soul.

Rating: 4.2

I am a starved soul.
I need love, precious love.

Please make me fully alive.
Take away my meaninglessness.

Who will wrap me in the loving arms?
Who will send me now warming rays?

hi, tony! i'm pleased to see new postings by you. hoping you are well in all ways. i read a rendering of hafez' verse this morning i don't have time right now to type out, but i'll try to remember to send it later—i think you'll appreciate it. no doubt to hunger like this, to hunger for love, is a good thing. i can't remember if you've read it already, but my poem refresh, o God, likens this feeling to thirst. more later, glen

Dr. Anthony is the therapist your soul has been yearning for. I could see him through his words.

I am a starved soul. I need love, precious love... these are the beginning lines those illuminate the arena of spiritual life. Our souls need love and precious love. It is a beautiful spiritual poem with nice observation. Thanks for sharing. Full vote.
