I am here because you were there
When the wind growled over the roof
when the moon faked ghosts over trees
you were there holding my hand
don't be afraid you are a man
When I fathomed unfathomable
when l strived with tears and sweat
you were there holding my hand
failure not a shame, giving-up is defeat
Sky is blue, blood is red
milk is white, Moon has phases
nature is wonderful also beautiful
go and find why it is more satisfying
Whenever the wind blows, moon makes shadows
I feel your warmth sitting next to me
I am here now because you were there
holding my hand whenever I needed you
Beautiful tribute to a loving mum, insightfully brought forth from the heart with conviction. Thanks for sharing Pushpa.
A great start with a nice poem on memories of mother, Pushpa. You may like to read my ars poetica named as (Poetic Sense-1) Thanks
You have fathomed unfathomable memories that wind carries in nature and moon has phases. Nature mother cares for moon to grow into full moon as a child grows like moon at home by care and affection of mother. Mother is in backdoor of child to support even in front-door. Mother has great vision and role in development of child. An interesting verse is beautifully penned and shared here. This is a great tribute to your mother too. She will feel proud of you. Excellent poem is shared....Rating 10 out of 10 for you. WELCOME TO POEMHUNTER.
