'I Am Here! 'my Yet Unborn Self Poem by james watkin

'I Am Here! 'my Yet Unborn Self

'I am here! ' My yet unborn self
To new worldly experience
May it be heard to say. Offspring
Of wonderlust's prurience.

Proudly amazed, hollered out with
A child's revived emotion;
Far removed childhood's place! Postcard's
Paintable; for scenes, burnt on;

Oblique hanging, flower-potted
In richly-graped Tuscan light
O'er into what, as festive shows
Becalmed for each boated sight;

Of lovers' swoon, cafe-swilled, then
Low-arched and promanaded
In company of a summer blowing;
Flavoursome citrine shaded.

'I am here'! Echoes back louder
For what faster beats of it
Anticipative, in Time's womb.
Exploring's joyful spirit.
