I am rising up,
Emerging from a bottomless pit.
A strange sensation, almost relief,
Freedom—
Raised from the dead!
There is no god, no guru to save me;
No hand to hold but the divine.
Alone, I journey
To my real mother's home.
I hope for the return of better days,
For an end to this sense of separation
From the divine.
With fervor, I hope
That my hope becomes reality.
Hope keeps me alive
Through the fiercest storm,
Quelling my evil mind,
Slaying the devil's children
That reside within,
Like flies swept away in a desert storm.
The sages spoke of purpose—
What purpose could that be?
To align with my fitrah,
So God may fulfill His promise,
Making me His caliph on Earth.
Now I see my true self
In the honest light of the divine.
As I rush closer to my Essence,
I behold the beauty—
Its true glow and splendor.
