I Am Taxed Poem by Randy McClave

I'm taxed, and taxed, taxed to death
I am taxed to my very last breath,
I was taxed when I was born, and taxed when hired
And I was taxed when I worked, now taxed while retired.
I am taxed whenever I walk out the door
And I am taxed when I enter any type of store,
I am taxed on taxes I have already paid
Tax for money from years ago that I made.
I am taxed for everything that I own
I am taxed continuously for everything shown,
And I am taxed for giving the poor and needy food
I'm even taxed if I get sued.
I'm taxed on the streets that I walk and on the roads thar I drive
I'm taxed so much that I can barely survive,
I am even taxed when I see any of my physicians
I'll even be taxed when I see the morticians.
I'm taxed to pay my country's bill
As they always scream about on Capital Hill,
I'm taxed for the bills that they have wrote
And I'm taxed for the politicians who didn't get my vote.
I'll be taxed and taxed until the day that I die
That's one benefit I happily accept and won't deny,
And if they want to place a tax on my death benefit
Please, I will tell them after I die please come and get it.
