I made a mistake which is true
I didn't mean or want to hurt you,
So, now if I could only look into your eyes
With my soul and heart I would apologize.
I'm not giving you any lies or excuses
Or reasoning which atonements produces,
I'm giving you a truthful and honest plead
The apology that you need.
I still remember what I said
It still echoes inside my head,
And I remember what I did
I still wish that moment could be hid.
I still remember seeing you hurt
For that one moment your feelings did desert,
My honor then left as well
I was in hell.
You don't need an apology, you moved on
But, I haven't since you are gone
I am so sorry that I made you feel like you didn't matter
You mean the world to me, now and forever after.
