I Awakened Poem by Randy McClave

I Awakened

I awakened this morning
To a nightmare as a warning,
Thoughts began running through my brain
I felt worries, stress and pain.
As I think of the country that I live in
Soon, there will be more hate, terror and sin,
Our citizens will be soon wearing a frown
Soon, we will be hanging the flag upside down.

I awakened this morning
Soon a new country will be aborning,
Everything will cost more
The middle-class will be gone, and I'll be poor.
Soon Mexico and Canada will not be our ally
Which no one can deny,
Soon they will give their chosen dictator a crown
Soon we will be hanging the flag upside down.

I awakened this morning
And I began mourning,
Soon, we will see maga parading down the street
Immigrants they will want to beat.
We will have leaders not knowing what they're doing
As we the taxpayers they will be screwing,
Soon we will be led by an orange haired clown
Soon, we will be hanging our flag upside down.
